近段网友似乎对河蟹议论纷纷。凑热闹，我找了点有意思的东西放在这里。 

下面这张图片是我从上周的《Time》杂志上扫描下来的。图示是世界范围内各个国家的Voice and Accountability Index指数值的分布情况。Voice and Accountability Index，直译为言论和责任指数，是由世界银行发布的，用于评价一个国家政府绩效的六个指标之一。该指数值越高，代表该国家的民主化程度越高。How Free Is Your Country，你的国家有多自由。此标题乃Time杂志报道的原文标题。

图中各种颜色代表不同等级的指数值，红色是代表最差0-10%，蓝色代表最好是90%以上。毋庸置疑，我们特色的社会主义祖国自然是全国江山一片红，和非洲几个国家处于一个等级。最差的国家是缅甸，试想，一个佛教国家里，连僧侣都要示威，其公民的自由程度可见一斑。据说，此次示威活动中，政府为了封闭信息传播，还强制关闭了仰光的一些网吧。北欧的丹麦摘取了公民民主自由的桂冠。有点不确定，以前曾看过一篇报道，不知世界电信化程度最高的国家是否也是丹麦？ 

自喻为世界警察的山姆大叔，到处传播其民主等，连前30名都保不住，受对公众政府的不信任和新闻自由限制的影响，从2005年的22位落到如今的35位。日本处于第二阶层（75.1-90%），还算可以。不过近段其政坛似乎受其岛国地理位置影响，是大小地震不断。

According to the Worldwide Governance Indicators report, which ranks countries by the amount of freedom citizens have to voice opinions and select a government, the U.S. tops out at 35th place–a drop from its rank of 22nd in 2005 because of a decreased trust in public officials and restrictions on the freedom of the press. "The U.S. is not a model," says Daniel Kaufmann, a lead author of the report, but it is far from the doghouse.
